Software Carpentry Workshop Day 1 - 5/17 9:00am - 5:00pm In-Person

This is a two day intensive workshop during 05/17 - 05/18. Participants signing up for this day are also signing up for day 2 (5/18).  If you can't attend both days please do not register.

The lessons are introductory and designed for novices.  No programming experience is required.

Software Carpentry's mission is to help scientists and engineers get more research done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic lab skills for scientific computing. This hands-on workshop will cover introductory concepts and tools, including program design in python, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.
