Communicating Research Impact using Bibliometrics and Altmetrics In-Person
In this intermediate, hands-on workshop, you will become familiar with the principal tools for tracking bibliometrics and altmetrics for your scholarly works, to help you communicate your research impact. We will focus on what data you can extract and analyze, as well as additional qualitative information you can retrieve to help support statements you want to make about your impact. We will also cover metrics for non-journal works in more detail, including books, chapters and datasets; strategies for selecting, collecting, and using metrics strategically; and ways to increase the visibility of your work.
This workshop is open to all UC San Diego researchers, faculty, staff, and students.
